japas review on eatability
thanks to the frying dutchman (love the name!) for this write up on eatability.com.au
LoveGrub have taken things to a whole new level at their fun and quirky cafe with the recent introduction of Japas (Japanese Tapas) and their nicely rounded beer and wine list. We tried a whole bunch of different dishes and were pleasantly surprised to find it was not your average Japanese fare. It was clever, contemporary, cafe cool!
The rice Balls disappeared quickly. Crumbed balls of shiitake and blue cheese goodness. And the Gyoza took me by surprise with it's fresh flavour. But it was a unanimous love of the Nasu Miso that had us all fighting for the last mouthful. A half eggplant grilled with a sweet den miso... (I called my brother this morning to tell him that we are going for the eggplant when he is next up from Melbourne - It is that good!).
The Macs range of beer topped it off nicely. The service was great as usual, all we need is some warmer weather and this is going to be a great summer night spot
